UPDATE: Well, never mind. Apparently the charge went through, and is non-refundable. So, that means this site will lose its webhost in one year’s time.

Ladies and gentlemen, I will be brief:

This website will be losing its webhost soon. This means that, sometime between 12/14/09 and 12/24/09, the URL www.sloganeering.org will be out of service.

During that time, all of our content will be available at a new URL: sloganeering.wordpress.com .

If you want to continue to access this site via RSS, the new URL to subscribe to is: sloganeering.wordpress.com/feed/ .

Here’s what happened (the long version):

As is usually the case during the Holiday Season, I got blindsided by some unforeseen expenses. This year, however, this means that I can’t really afford to pay the roughly $75 it costs me per year to host this site. I know, it’s silly of me to spend this much on a hobby. Given the circumstances, I’m better off with the free hosting they offer at WordPress.com.

So, here’s the thing. Sometime after January 1st, 2010, I will try to get the old Sloganeering.org URL to point to my new digs at WordPress.com (which costs something like ten bucks a year).

Beyond that, who knows?
